Stable Diffusion Forge + Flux in Google Colab
Run Flux Dev NF4 (and likely other variants) with the full Stable Diffusion Forge UI directly in Google Colab — LoRA support included, plus Google Drive integration so your models and outputs persist between sessions. This is an English-translated version of PhotobAIt’s original French Colab, tidied up for wider use.
✓ 100% free — runs in Google Colab, no local GPU or install needed.Requirements
- Google account (free Colab tier works)
- A modern web browser — no local GPU needed
- Google Drive space for models and outputs
- Free Colab T4 GPU (Colab Pro helps for heavier runs)
Setup steps
- Open the Colab notebook (button above) and sign in with your Google account.
- Run the setup cells and mount Google Drive when prompted, so models/outputs are saved.
- Launch the Forge UI from the gradio link the notebook prints.
- In the UI, select "Flux" as the model.
- Set "Diffusion in Low Bits" to "Bnb-nf4 (fp16 LoRA)".
- Lower "GPU Weights" to roughly 8472 MB to avoid out-of-memory crashes, then generate.
Notes & tips
- The Colab can feel buggy and crash mid-generation — lowering GPU Weights to ~8472 MB is the biggest stability fix.
- Adetailer is present but not fully implemented in this notebook yet.
- Google Drive mounting is worth it: it prevents losing models/outputs when a session resets.
